I currently own a Special Contender son, Boscontender. Let me tell you this horse is great! Everywhere we go everyone compliments how sweet, pretty, and well put together he is "for a paint horse". See where I live most people dont see paint horses as "barrel horses", but we are changing the minds of these people :) This horse has the most heart and try as any horse I have ever rode and he remembers everything you teach him the first time. I have also used him to give lessons on for someone who is just learning to barrel race, he does so well, never goes any faster than he should and she even tells me, "this horse is teaching me so much! I cant believe it. Every time I think about giving him a cue to do something, hes already doing it." This guy is going to be a top notch barrel horse, just turning 6years old this year he has already won numerous checks. I feel honored to be able to ride such a great horse, he may not win every barrel race but he is sure gonna try his hardest and thats what really matters at the end of the day. He is a in your pocket kind of horse, if he sees you coming you better be ready because he will be in your face, checking your pockets for treats, but someone as special as him deserves them! I have had a wonderful experience with Shannon and Lonestar Performance Horses, and I look forward to helping her get outstanding paint horses on the ground and running barrels! :)

I absolutely adore my horse Racing Jets Icon out of A Sharper Image. He has so much heart! He has won one APHA World Championship and another Res World Championship in Barrel Racing. I can't begin to explain the amazing bond we have, he is a true blessing! It melted my heart when the vet told me she could tell how much he loved me.... For any one who knows Ike he is a 10 year old 2 year old. He spooks and the silliest things and doesn't really like shots and the vets office. While the vet was listening to his heart he was frantic, so I walked up and started to talk to him and hold his head. She just looked and me and said he really does love you as soon as your touched him his heart rate dropped. I wouldn't trade Ike for anything, I believe God put him in my life for a reason and we are truly meant to accomplish great things together! I can't wait for everything the future has in store for us! Thank you A Sharper Image for producing such a wonderful baby, with a huge heart and personality to spare. I love him so much!

We bred our mare with Special Contender last year and it was truly the easiest experience I've ever had. The semen came in on time straight to the vets office. She took first time and we're expecting the first week of April this year. My husband recently bought two horses from Shannon, one for myself and one for our boys. Both ride like a dream and have nice speed indexes. I plan to bred to Easy and possibly Sharper this year. I realy just can't say enough about LSPH, they're great to work with and have the very best to choose from!!!

I want to tell everyone how much I appreciate LSPH. Not only have they helped me out tremendously but LSPH is taking great steps to put some awesome horses on the ground. My story starts almost 15 yrs ago when I met A Sharper Image for the first time. He was stunning then as much as he is now. I was fortunate enough to watch and occasionally spoil my aunt's gelding by Sharper; Racin' Jets Icon. There is not enough words to describe this horses heart, try, grit and character! He excelled in barrels and accomplished some great titles. Through the years I almost lost track of Sharper and with some help located him practically in my backyard! Shannon and family at LSPH are doing a great service to him and endorsing the APHA incentives in barrel racing. It's with all of their hard work I will be able to finally have my very own A Sharper Image baby with my most precious mare. Thank you Shannon for all your hard work, honesty and I wish you, family, and all three stallions the best there is to come! Thank you for such an opportunity after near 15 years of want!:love:

I have nothing but excellent things to say about LSPH and their amazing stallions!:D If you are looking for a top notch race or barrel prospect you need these bloodlines! I have a Special Contender daughter, Beda Be Quick, and she is probably the nicest barrel horse I have ever rode! I am only 15 and since May she has won over $2,ooo, a magnetic blanket, a trophy halter, and is leading a series for the open high point saddle where she has won the 1D twice, 2D once with a bad run, and 2nd in the 1D once! All of this money was won at local jackpots with 75 to 175 open entries! She has won or drawn checks at every rodeo I have taken her to. Thickest, fastest, prettiest (looks just like Easy Dasher when he was dark grey), and most athletic horse at almost every race we go to;) NO LIE: She had 5 days of training on poles and her second time being entered she loped down there and ran a 22.2. No effort:laugh: Is super cowy and I have had calf ropers come up and try to offer $25,000 for her after seeing her turns and sliding stop;) Ty and Lisa Mitchell tried to buy her and we were offered $20,000 cash her first time out cruising a run! Has MANY open 1D wins and has a true heart. Kids ride her all of the time. RUNS in a twisted wire o ring snaffle and loose tie down for balanced turns! Sounds like a horse you would love to ride? Breed to a LSPH stallion, all with proven winners and you could have your own Betty! PS: Taking this mare to Pinto World probably this year and should come home with 2 world champion buckles ;)
